Uranus is the last of the major planets to enter a new sign as Saturn and Neptune are already in Aries, Pluto safely in Aquarius, and Jupiter now in Cancer. Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune aren’t done yet though, and will go back to their previous signs for a bit this year before officially entering their new signs in 2026. For Uranus, it’s pushing off to air sign Gemini, bringing its unconventional energy to the sign of the mind.

General Impact of Uranus in Gemini:
Uranus is the planet of change, ruling the sudden, the unexpected, the unconventional, and the future. Uranus has been in Taurus, an earth and fixed sign, since 2018, and hasn’t been too happy in that sign! Uranus has been shaking up the status quo and forcing instability to wake us up.
Uranus is much happier in Gemini, and we likely will be too! Gemini is an air and mutable sign, and is the sign of the mind. Gemini is quick on its feet, adaptable, and being symbolized by the Twins, it embraces variety and juggling multiple focuses.
Uranus in Gemini means we’re thinking outside of the box - WAY outside of the box, like to another galaxy! Another realm! Another plane of existence! We’re going to be super future-focused with Uranus in Gemini, and don’t want to have any constraints on our ideas and plans.
Uranus in Gemini can focus on education, and we can become interested in learning about unusual subjects and wild topics. We can learn in new, different ways, and we might work to make changes to schools and learning environments where young people are.
Gemini rules young people, and they are likely to get even louder! We’ll likely see them take up the mantle and make themselves heard, loud and clear. They won’t be okay with letting the elders call all of the shots, and want a seat at the table.
Gemini is a tech ruler, so we might see some major advancements in technology during this period. This is especially the case with Pluto also in Aquarius, the sign Uranus naturally rules, so these two are ramping up innovation in a big way, and this can branch out to a variety of fields. Some of this might be bad (*cough*AI*cough*), but hopefully not most of it.
Gemini rules communities and neighborhoods, so we’re also likely to see a lot more activity and engagement at local levels, and changes being made within communities among neighbors to bring the area forward.
Gemini is a travel ruler, but short travel, places you can go to by car, train, bus, bicycle, even walking. There can be some advancements and changes with these modes of transportation as well, and we might see more movement at short distances and less faraway travel.
We are just coming out of Jupiter in Gemini, which ended in early June 2025, as Uranus in Gemini begins. Jupiter in Gemini gave us about a year to work on pursuing opportunities for ideas and plans, and start taking action.
If you were smart, you made the most of Jupiter in Gemini so you can go into Uranus in Gemini with some momentum. At the very least, look back in your life to May 25th 2024 - June 9th 2025 (when Jupiter was in Gemini) to get a sense of what Uranus in Gemini might be focusing on for you personally.
Looking at history, the last time Uranus was in Gemini was 1941 - 1949 - it might jump out at you that the first half of that transit occurred during World War II. Things have been feeling more and more like that era lately, so it’s a little concerning.
Our ideas are important, but we have to be mindful of what we’re filling our heads with. Anything advocating for the discrimination and destruction of others is not going to be helpful, and it’s definitely not going to lead us into a bright future. We need to not become too disillusioned with reality.
It might feel like there’s a lot of yelling going on during this transit. But we should try to find more productive ways of communicating!
Uranus Plays Nice With Neptune and Pluto:
One very helpful thing about this transit is Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are all at positive angles to each other. Uranus trines Pluto in Aquarius and sextiles Neptune in Aries (while Neptune and Pluto are sextile).
This is helpful because these are the outer planets, the slow movers who spend a long time in each Zodiac sign. When they’re not working well together, this tends to spell disaster worldwide, and we see how everyone has a hard time getting along or getting anything done.
With the trio making positive aspects, they’re helping each other, which in turn helps us.
Saturn and Uranus Collide in Gemini:
Saturn will tour Gemini with Uranus 2030 - 2032, and these two will be joined at the hip (interestingly, they don’t officially conjunct until near the end, June 28th 2032 at 28 degrees Gemini; Mars will have just conjuncted them earlier in June in a Gemini stellium and Jupiter will have just retrograded back to Capricorn a couple days before and be anaretic, whoa baby!).
Saturn is practical, responsible, disciplined, mature, and the opposite of Uranus: traditional! Uranus is the future, the unexpected, change, and the unconventional. Saturn wants to stick to the way things are and Uranus wants to shake it all up.
This period with the two together in Gemini can challenge us to focus on those wild ideas we’re coming up with and do something tangible with them. We might be prone to being all talk with Uranus in Gemini, and no walk, and Saturn won’t have that, so we have to take more action and back up what we’re saying.
That end period there in June 2032 is a little concerning though (especially since Uranus in Gemini began in 1941 with Saturn also moving to Gemini!). I think we’re going to see a pretty major development in the world at that point, but what? Will it be a good witch or a bad witch?

March 31st - June 13th 2031 (conjunct May 25th 2031 at 21 degrees Gemini)
These periods can be ones where we’re coming up with ideas for changes that impact our resources, bring new resources into our lives, and maximize existing resources to get more out of them with less.
We can see some changes impacting agriculture or food (ruled by Ceres), or ideas for how to do that. I shudder to think of something like famine, but with rising temperatures, that’s definitely possible (especially with the second tour with restrictive Saturn also in Gemini in 2031).
There can be changes with how we get and give support, individually as well as collectively. The way we view support and nurturing attitudes can shift.
