You can read their sign below, but you can also use the sign for the date they came into your life (since many don't know their pet's date of birth, especially if you adopted instead of buying).
The Aries Pet: Hello Energy
(March 21 - April 19)
Aries is the sign of energy, so your Aries pet is likely on the rambunctious side, or can easily exhaust you. They might seem like they're constantly going, and they have a deep well of energy they can dip into.
The Aries pet is not the type to mope around the house and take long naps. They also loathe being locked up and might act out when you try to do that.
They tend to have their own personality and way of doing things, and this can mean they may not like being around other animals unless they get to be the boss. They love being the leader!
They can find a way to express themselves to you, and this might be surprising for an animal of their kind. While they can be fiercely independent, they also tend to be quite affectionate.
The Taurus Pet: Spoiled Lazy
(April 20 - May 20)
The Taurus pet doesn't want to be pushed into anything. Taurus is a stubborn fixed sign, so your Taurus pet can be pretty stubborn when they want something, or when they don't want to do something. You'd be hard-pressed to get them to do it!
They might be kind of lazy, and would rather nap all day than get any exercise. They want to be spoiled, and they'll love being showered with gifts and affection, and getting dolled up.
They can like the outdoors though, thanks to strong senses. They might even roll around in the dirt! But then you have to clean them thoroughly.
They can be even more into food, and will eat up anything and everything, so do be careful of what you give them. They may not be all that picky about it and will scoff it down quickly.
The Gemini Pet: The Talkative Ones
(May 21 - June 20)
Gemini is the sign of expression, so the Gemini pet is often found expressing itself loudly, in whatever way natural for the animal. They don't like to be quiet, and you can almost see the wheels turning in their minds, so they can be pretty smart.
They can also be scatterbrained though, and get bored easily, so they need some variety. They tend to be alright around other animals, even those of a totally different species.
They tend to do well with kids thanks to the high energy, and they generally don't get down very much. They seem to be happy-go-lucky animals.
They likely always need to be doing something, so laziness doesn't suit them well. They might be prone to anxiousness, so work to keep them calm.
The Cancer Pet: Nurturing
(June 21 - July 22)
Cancer is the sign of the home and family, so the Cancer pet can enjoy spending time around their blood family, their human family, and the places that feel most like home. They prefer comfort and familiarity to anything new.
With Cancer ruling emotions, your Cancer pet can pick up on your feelings, and they can quickly snuggle with you or do whatever it takes to help. They can make excellent service animals.
They don't do well with being scolded, and take it pretty hard, so try to avoid doing that. They might be prone to upset tummies.
With Cancer being a water sign ruled by the Moon, they may enjoy swimming, time by or in water, and water toys.
The Leo Pet: Drama Queen

Leo is the sign of royalty, so treat your Leo pet like the royal they feel they are. They want to be pampered and taken great care of, and they may even like being groomed and dressed up.
The Leo pet can be oddly confident, and may seem to know when you give them fancy foods and expensive toys over basic foods and inexpensive toys. They have an expensive taste.
They love praise and getting lots of attention from you. They usually don't mind being around other animals either, comfortable with getting more attention.
Their personality can be bold and fierce, and they may prefer being in heat or the sunlight. They're very loyal, and would protect you in an instant.

Virgo is the sign of work and service, so the Virgo pet can enjoy being put to work and helping to get things done. This can make them natural caregivers for animals and humans alike.
They may not be very messy, and prefer cleanliness. They may seem to be in a better mood after you've cleared their space or washed their stuff.
They might be comfortable around strangers, and can take some time to warm up. They need to be active to avoid getting in bad moods.
They're very quick to learn, so they tend to be quite trainable, no matter the animal or breed.

(September 23 - October 22)
Libra pets usually want to have company, whether it's you, family, or another animal. They seem to be their best when they have a partner to run around with. Without that, they can get pretty moody.
Since they're good with company, they tend to get along well with all species or animals and all humans. They don't start fights, wanting to keep things playful and enjoyable.

Pisces is a compassionate sign, so the Pisces pet can be super empathetic, seeming to sense what everyone feels. They can show lots of affection to make you feel better when you're sad.
They're gentle souls who are sweet to all. They run away from fights and don't care for drama. Scolding them can hurt them deeply, so avoid that.
They can make good caregivers since they always want to help make others better. They need a peaceful environment that isn't too loud or busy.
They tend to have old souls, and this can be evident in their eyes. They can gravitate toward water and may find it healing. They may need more sleep than usual for their species, and seem to have strong dreams.
